The criteria that was used to decide on this "Best Of" list are; reliability, customer feed back, product features and customer support. The following review doesn't discuss all classes of hair straighteners or flat irons on the market. Only higher quality products were reviewed and costs weren't taken into account.

The following reviews are based only on features, consumer feed back and product quality. The survey won't consider cost.

Are the FHI Runway models really worth the money? Absolutely, if you can afford the price.

2) The FHI Platform Series - As a forerunner in the progress of tourmaline integration and ceramic plating, FHI's Platform series offers a superior straightener at a less expensive price. Available in assorted sizes, the Platform series provides ultra flash heat times, PTFC ceramic heat plates, adjustable temperature and 450F max heat. While the Platform Series is less expensive than the Runway series, it's important to note that they are still on the pricey side at around $150 - $200.

3) CHI Pink Series - The trendy pink hair straightener offers consumers the best performance and reliability of any flat iron in the Farouk CHI line. Flash heat times, ceramic plates, and temperature control combined with a comfortably and ergonomically designed handle make the CHI ceramic flat iron a great option for anyone that wants the most from their hair.

4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - This hair straightener actually ranked above the CHI Pink series in product features, but it dropped to the fourth space because consumers have had difficulty with warranty returns. Aside from that, the T3 Wet-or-Dry offers consumers a sound ceramic design.

5) CHI Turbo Series - The Turbo series takes fifth place in our review of flat irons. This flat iron line is used by more hair professionals than any of the other models. And although its maximum temperature and flash heating are not as good as the CHI Pink, the CHI Turbo series is a perfect option for people that want premium dependability and performance.
