Xtend-Life Fish Oil Review

You should know what you're putting into your body, especially when it comes to supplements.

If you're looking for a quality source of fish oil then you may have heard of Xtend Life fish oil.

Does it fulfil all the requirements for an ideal fish oil?

Xtend Life is a highly regarded fish oil and for good reason.

Many fish oil brands will not get any mention on this site because they offer no evidence of their effectiveness or safety, and so there is no reason to use them or trust in them. Some companies to synthetically made fish oil which is low bioavailability and questionable benefits. More seriously, many companies do not talk about or mention at all anything about their sources of fish oil, any measures taken to get rid of or to test their final for mercury and other toxins that will negate the benefits of fish oil.

But Xtend Life fish oil has high regard because:

1. 50% of their fish oil is sourced from Hoki in pristine waters of New Zealand chosen because they are not contaminaed or polluted. Unlike many Northen Oceans, they are not located near shipping lines.

2. The other 50% of their fish oil is from South Pacific tuna which undergoes two processes including molecular distillation to remove contaminants, heavy metals and mercury.

3. . They have safety standards that are more strict than even the IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) when it comes to acceptable levels of toxins such as mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic, PCBs and dioxins. For example, their specification for mercury is set at the level of detection at 10ppb (parts per billion), which is 10 times less than that set by the IFOS.

"If you check our COA (Certificate of Analysis) you will see that the levels of purity are so good with our Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil that even at these lower levels, NO contaminants are detected." is a quote from their site. You can in fact read their Certificate of Analysis for their current batch of product to see this for yourself.

4. They have an increased effectiveness when it comes to anti inflammatory activity. This is thought to be due o the synergy between the Hoki and tuna oil which results in better effect than only 1 oil or the other.

5. They have improved bioavialbility as they use only natural sources of omega 3, unlike cheaper brands that use synthetic omega 3. You get the natural triglyceride or ethyl ester form, NOT a synthetic triglyceride that other brands use.

And yes, they ave more than 450mg of omega 3 per 1000mg capsule, unlike many brands we see that have 300mg or less of omega 3 content and without any mention of purifying or testing their product.

Because of their purity, many people have noticed no burping, reflux or after taste from these capsules.

But the bigger issues is the purity and effectiveness which you can read for yourself on their website.

So go to Xtend-Lifec Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil for fish oil that meets the all the above criteria we mentioned.
